ZHA provided program management services to Orange County Public Schools. The services included development, implementation and management of the OCPS District-Wide Roofing Program. This program, encompassing 145 schools and more than 14.3 million square feet of roofing, included the following tasks:

• Define consistent and cost-effective roof systems and project delivery methods
  
• Optimize the District's warranty protection
  
• Develop roofing design guidelines
  
• Ensure quality during the design and construction process
  
• Increase the useful life of the District's assets
  
• Develop and implement a post-construction roof management program
  
• Facilitate the accessibility of all program information and data
  

The three-year undertaking produced dramatic results including:

Scope Assessment Program - Saved $12 million with aggressive recovery procedures
Roof Design Management - Saved more than $380,000 and cut design schedules 75 percent
Bid Phase Support- Saved more than $680,000 through non-traditional packaging
Design/Build Project Management - Four projects - $120,000 under budget
Roof Construction QA/QC - 94 roof projects - DAILY inspections dramatically increased quality
Warranty Protection Program - Increased protection 100 percent
Roof Management GIS Database - Developed and completed GIS Roof Database
More than $13 million was saved.
