PROJECT COST
$43.6 Million

Seminole County built a new criminal justice center to provide a larger facility for the county’s growing population.

The project added 10 courtrooms to the county’s court facilities, all equipped with the latest technology and infrastructure for future technology. Eleven judges’ chambers are at the center, plus a grand jury room and offices for the sheriff, public defender, state attorney, clerk of the court, and other court-related officials.

The Criminal Justice Center has five above-ground levels to provide separate and secure facilities for the public, judges, jurors, and staff. Holding cells are in the basement and on each courtroom floor. The center has enough space for future needs, including a possible expansion.
