The City of Inverness, Florida, selected ZHA to provide comprehensive owner's representation services for the town’s city hall replacement program. The two-story traditional design incorporates low maintenance and long-lasting materials, such as brick, precast concrete accents, and barrel tile roofs, that represent the town’s values and historic architecture. At the same time, the design and materials project a strong, conservative, governmental image.
The Inverness Government Center consists of a 28,000-square-foot building that includes appropriate space for expansion, parking for 150 cars, stormwater retention and a new city park. The comprehensive project budget is approximately $5.8 million and construction was 12 months.
The project was delivered via design-build in November 2005. ZHA's scope of work included:
