The Municipal Services Complex—a 38,000-square-foot building—was delivered through a turn-key system. The developer located the site and, for a specific price, proposed a lump-sum delivery of a finished complex designed to address the city's needs.
The new complex houses the city departments of Community Development, Building & Life Safety, and Public Works. The complex also houses a community center and a fire station. The 4.85-acre site has two distinct parking areas, separating public visitors and city employees.
Full fire department operations are housed within the complex. Fire trucks have garages with full pull-through capability. Trucks return to the back of the building and onto a wash pad for cleaning, out of view from the main street, before reentering the garages.
The complex has on-site generators, so the air condition system has multiple small-zoned units, allowing full conditioning in the areas of necessity only.
