The University of Florida added 10,000 seats and several other stadium upgrades to the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, home to the Gators football team. The North End Zone Expansion, as the project was called, increased the stadium's capacity to 83,000, making it the largest stadium in Florida at that time. The project added conventional stadium seating, as well as 18 luxury skyboxes, a private club with 2,000 seats, and a dining area. The school also built two new end zone scoreboards, a large color graphics screen, a gift shop and the two-story Heritage Hall, which houses the Gator Boosters and Museum. ZHA assisted the client, the University of Florida Athletic Association, with programming, design management and construction administration.
